©SVANA I felt so lucky to see this Arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus) walking along the shore in search of food.
©SVANA When I arrived at the shore I saw the brown morph of the Arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus). I bent down and stayed stil for a whilel, and to my surprise this white individual came walking slowly towards me.

©SVANA The harbor seal(Phoca vitulina, landselur in Icelandic) is one of the two species of seal that regularly pup in Iceland. Here, two females are resting at Hvítanes, Ísafjarðardjúp, while a male desperately tries to get some attention.

©SVANA After spending the whole summer in the wild, the sheep are collected by the farmers. The farmers in Stykkishólmur keep their sheep in Arnarhóll overnight and the day after each one finds his sheep and brings them home.
